What is Mesothelioma? Mesothelioma (commonly mispelled; mesothilioma) is a rare and aggressive form of cancer that affects the Mesothelium, a protective sac that covers most of the body’s internal organs including the lungs (called pleura mesothelioma), heart (called pericardium mesothelioma) and abdominal (called peritoneal mesothelioma) organs.
